Inserted in a milled slot Square cartridge heaters allow more contact per linear inch than a cylindrical cartridge heater, for greater heat transfer to the surrounding medium. The standard sheath material for Square Cartridge Heaters is 304 Stainless Steel which provides high temperature strength, good thermal conductivity and resistance to oxidation. The bottom of heater is closed with a 304 Stainless Steel end disc. This style of end seal is not moisture proof.
