Chromalox Industrial Unit Heaters include both fixed and portable designs and incorporate a powerful fan to help circulate the warm air produced by the heating elements. Chromalox Industrial Unit Heaters include both fixed and portable designs and incorporate a powerful fan to help circulate the warm air produced by the heating elements. Adding a fan creates air movement that allows for a design that is more compact than an equivalent convection heater since rapidly moving air removes the heat from the element surface quickly. These heaters are designed to withstand dusty, dirty environments, and to hold up against typical abuse seen in industrial environments. Thermal Devices offers the following Chromalox Unit Heaters:
Horizontal or Vertical Discharge Fan Forced Unit Heater (HVH):
- Integral 24V Control Transformer is standard on 480V models and eliminates the need for an external control source ( 120V is optional).
- Heavy Duty Magnetic Contactors are standard on all models except 2.6 thru 5 kW single phase models, except for 480V models.
Horizontal Blower Heater (LUH):
- Sub-divided Circuits with Individual Fuse Protection
- Integral 120V Control Transformer
- Heavy Duty Magnetic Contactors
- Thermal Cutouts/Auto Reset
- Field Convertible
